Monument Valley “Intro”

Let the Fun Begin

Today we finally arrived! 11 Hour Total Drive time. Last night we posted in up on Historic Route 66 in a cozy little “town”, Williams Arizona.  From our bed and breakfast “Buffalo Pointe Inn”, the drive was just 3.5 hours.  Williams AZ, by the way, was a great launching point for both the Grand Canyon and Monument Valley.  With a little luck and planning we may be able to detour through the GC on the way back home.

On this trip I’m with a small band of merry creatives.  Steve, Zeke, Geoff, Jimbo, and Pauline.  Pauline is our Director of Photography. The rest of us will be recording the experience via Painting, Drawing, Sketching, and any other mark making scheme we can conjure up!

We arrived, unpacked into our cabins, and had just enough time to bang out a quick “warm up piece” to set the tone for the rest of the trip.  Below are some quick shots of both the landscape and our first piece’s.  Please take a look and let us know what you think!
